The town will host the President Joko Widodo and First Lady Mrs Irina for the day. He is scheduled to visit a number of sites and attend events at southern parts of Bandung.

My gut reaction to the news was howling to the nines. “No!” as I imagined the chaotic traffic such visits incur.

The dreaded traffic might not happen. Even if it did, the news, that has been circulating in my circle of social networks, has included The President and The First Lady’s itinerary so that we could avoid the scenes should we wish.

Still, at nine in the morning but the day already seems bleak.
